Women’s Asia Cup 2024 Schedule: The ninth edition of the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 is just around the corner, as the tournament is scheduled to be played from July 19 to 28.  

Sri Lanka is the host of this tournament featuring major Asian teams. This tournament is also considered a good opportunity to fine-tune the line-ups before the mega upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup event.  

There will be as many as 15 games, including semis and final to be played in this Asian event. Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla will host all the matches.  

India won the last edition of the Women’s Asia Cup after beating Sri Lanka women by 8 wickets in 2022.  

Interestingly, India secured seven out of eight Women’s Asia Cup titles, having lost just one, which was also a nail-bitter, won by Bangladesh back in 2008.  

The defending champions India will start their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on July 19.

The live telecast of the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 can be seen on Star Sports Network. While the live streaming of the marquee event will be available to watch on Disney+Hotstar app.

What is the format of Women’s Asia Cup 2024?  

There will be as many as 8 teams participating in the marquee event and four teams are divided into 2 groups each.  

India, Pakistan, UAE, and Nepal are part of Group A. While Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand are in Group B. The tournament will be played in T20 format.  

All will play against each other once during the group stage. The top-2 teams from each group after the completion of the group round will advance to the semifinals.
