The Pakistan Super League (PSL) had a magnificent roadshow at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London which was the main reason the whole world was looking at the event. The top-notch officials, cricket legends, and stars of the present all together at the same venue with Mohsin Naqvi and Wasim Akram aiming at the IPL.
The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi has promised to make the PSL the best league in the world. The PCB chief has pointed out that the main goal of the Pakistan Super League is not just to provide entertainment but also to train and bring up the next generation of cricket stars.
Mohsin Naqvi’s resolve is to turn the PSL into the number one league across the globes.
He has also made it very clear that the league is being constructed for providing the young Pakistani players with a perfect platform to grow, perfect their skills, acquire experience, and receive incentives to “inspire them to do better.”
In addition, he mentioned that the PCB and PSL organizers are committed to working together to strengthen cricket in Pakistan with the desire to surpass the IPL in the race for being the number one. Naqvi was quoted saying, “My vision is to make PSL the number one league in the world,” at the event by Pakistani media.
Apart from that, the roadshow had two glamorous sessions. The first one was with Naqvi, Ramiz Raja, Wasim Akram, and PSL CEO Salman Naseer. The second session was all about Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Sahibzada Farhan, and Akram who entertained the fans with their mere presence and vivacity.
Wasim Akram considers PSL as a source of entertainment, brutally criticizes IPL
The most significant and interesting aspect of the event was the humorous IPL dig by the legendary fast bowler. Akram lauded the PSL for being short, fast, and lively whereas the other leagues like India’s T20 were characterized by lengthy, tedious seasons.
Nonetheless, Akram eventually named the IPL as the world’s best league while placed the PSL in the second spot. The IPL is among the longest cricket leagues worldwide, taking more than two months to complete and consisting of around 74 matches, including the knockouts, still there are quite a few other T20 leagues that last for a shorter period than IPL.
Wasim Akram remarked during the roadshow, “The best thing about PSL is that it lasts for only 34 days or perhaps one month or so next year. It is not three months long like the other leagues. Kids grow up by the time those leagues end—they just never seem to finish.”
The ex-captain went on to say, “PSL is the second-best league in the world. It gives the fans great entertainment. Most importantly it allows our local players to get noticed.”
Ramiz Raja and Babar Azam claim PSL one of reasons for the rise of Pakistan Cricket

Babar moreover talked about the support he got from the experienced players and his trying to train the up-and-coming players in the PSL.
