The Battle of the Sexes will return for another high-profile match between men and women, 52 years after Billie Jean King defeated Bobby Riggs in 1973.
Aryna Sabalenka will challenge Nick Kyrgios in an exhibition match in Dubai on 28 December in the latest instalment of the man vs woman match.
There have been a number of matches between men and women in the past, including Novak Djokovic vs Li Na and Serena Williams vs Karsten Braasch.
In 2000, Bjorn Borg expressed an interest in facing Serena Williams in an updated version of the controversial match.
Bjorn Borg wanted to face Serena Williams in 2000
Borg was 44 years old and long retired in the year 2000, but that didn’t stop him from challenging Williams to a match.
In an interview with The Independent in 2000, the Swede said: “I’d love to play her [Serena Williams]. I’ll play her any time she likes.”

This is something that was backed up by tennis journalist David Law, who confirmed the plans on a recent episode of The Tennis Podcast.
He said: “I remember Bjorn Borg saying to me, sorry for the name drop, but I remember him saying to me, it’s like 20 odd years ago, maybe more, him saying, I’d love to play Serena.”
Williams was 19 years old at the time, and had already won eight WTA titles and a mixed doubles Grand Slam title.
Bjorn Borg is not the only man who challenged Serena Williams
Williams is far and away one of the best female athletes to ever play the game, which is why men often want to pit their wits against her.
In the past, the likes of Andy Murray and John McEnroe have also expressed an interest in facing the American star.
Murray said he would be ‘up for’ playing Williams with a social media post in 2013, long before they formed a mixed doubles team at Wimbledon.
McEnroe, meanwhile, has often said he would beat Williams in a match, even long after he retired from the sport.
The American was even offered $1 million by Donald Trump to reignite the Battle of the Sexes at the start of the Millennium.
