Eddie Hearn sends BRUTAL warning to Jake Paul: Getting knocked out bad

Eddie Hearn has sent a chilling warning to Jake Paul ahead of next week’s showdown with Anthony Joshua.

Hearn, Joshua’s career-long promoter, will be in Miami on December 19 for his charge’s eight-round heavyweight bout against Paul at the Kaseya Center, live on Netflix.

Paul, heading into his 14th professional fight, is at least a 6/1 underdog to pull off a major upset against the former two-time heavyweight world champion.

And Hearn has promised a devastating performance from the 36-year-old Watford man, who is set to end a 15-month lay-off when he faces the American.

“Do not worry about anybody holding back,” the 46-year-old told IFLTV.

“We’re going in there locked and loaded with the heaviest f***ing artillery in the heavyweight division that will be unleashed on Jake Paul in Miami.

“And it will be unleashed sharp, fast and hard on his chin.

“So the best case scenario for him is that it doesn’t land too clean, because when it lands clean, he ain’t getting up and the fight’s over and he’s getting knocked out bad.

“There will be a lot of people who will enjoy watching it.

“I’m giving him the respect to say, look you’ve got big balls, but he needs to get very lucky next weekend.

“Not lucky to win. Not lucky to survive on points.

“Lucky that the knockout is not too clean.”

Joshua hasn’t been seen in a ring since a devastating fifth round knockout loss to Daniel Dubois last September.

Paul was scheduled to meet lightweight champion, Gervonta Davis in an exhibition last month, but the clash was pulled after Davis was accused of hitting an ex-girlfriend in a civil lawsuit.

Despite the odds, the 28-year-old, YouTuber-turned-boxer believes he has the attributes to cause ‘AJ’ problems.

“He is one of the best heavyweights ever,” Paul said at the press conference.

“But I believe fighting a smaller man is often harder for a heavyweight because of the speed difference, the footwork, the angles, the head being off-centre.

“All that power is great, but I just have to avoid that one shot for eight rounds – and I believe I can do that.

“I know I can pick him apart, score points, and make this a great contest.

“Don’t respect me just for getting in there – respect me because I’m going to win.”
