Dolphin lost their unbeaten record of 11 consecutive AIL games at home undefeated when they were defeated by Bective Rangers. Had they avoided defeat they would have equaled their best ever run (12 games) in 2008 + 2009.

Bective set out their stall early with an unconverted try, but Dolphin took the lead through a try from centre Sam Boyle, converted by Hunter Yarrall. The visitors took back the lead to go in front at half time (7-15) through a penalty and converted try.

Dolphin soon narrowed the lead to a single point , when Sam Boyle scored his 2nd try, which was converted (14-15)

Dolphin will be disappointed to concede 3 tries in the 2nd half, including an intercept at the death and with 2 away games to follow, it will be 13th December before they can attempt to get to 12 consecutive home wins, starting with Malahide.
