Head coach Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers made their final decisions on injured Derrick Harmon and Jaylen Warren for Week 15.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Miami Dolphins on Monday night at Acrisure Stadium. Running back Jaylen Warren, who was a late addition to the team’s injury report, will play. However, defensive lineman Derrick Harmon won’t.

The Steelers made Warren questionable for the contest Monday because of an illness. Harmon will miss his third consecutive game because of a knee ailment.

The Steelers must defeat the Dolphins to stay one game ahead of the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North standings. With a loss, the Steelers would drop to 7-7.

Pittsburgh, though, owns the tiebreaker against Baltimore, who improved to 7-7 with a win Sunday.

In addition to Harmon, the Steelers included wide receiver Roman Wilson, quarterback Will Howard, guard Andrus Peat, defensive tackle Brodric Martin, edge rusher T.J. Watt on their inactive list for Week 15. Howard is inactive but will serve as the team’s emergency No. 3 quarterback.

Jaylen Warren to Play vs. Dolphins, Derrick Harmon Out

Getting Harmon back in the lineup would have given the Steelers defense a significant boost Monday.

With Harmon this season, Pittsburgh has yielded 96 rushing yards per contest. Without him, the Steelers run defense has been terrible, giving up 191.25 rushing yards per game.

Harmon missed the first two weeks of the regular season and now the past three. He missed those contests because of two separate knee injuries.

Without Harmon versus the Ravens and Buffalo Bills, the Steelers gave up more than 200 rushing yards in each game. The Dolphins entered Week 15 with a top 10 rushing offense in the league.

The Steelers drafted Harmon at No. 21 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. The rookie has posted 22 combined tackles, including one tackle for loss, four quarterback hits, and two sacks this season. He also has one pass defense and one fumble recovery.

Warren leads the Steelers with 652 rushing yards this season. He’s averaged 4.1 yards per carry and also caught 30 passes for 277 yards. Warren has also scored six total touchdowns.

Steelers Release WR Ke’Shawn Williams, Elevate 2 Players for Week 15

A couple hours prior to releasing their inactive players list for Week 15, the Steelers also made multiple roster moves.

The team announced signing wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling from the practice squad. To make room for Valdes-Scantling on the roster, the Steelers released Ke’Shawn Williams.

Furthermore, the Steelers elevated offensive lineman Jack Driscoll and defensive end DeMarvin Leal from the practice squad for the matchup.

Valdes-Scantling made his Pittsburgh debut last Sunday against the Ravens. While playing 16 offensive snaps, he received one target, which he didn’t catch.

The Steelers are dressing Driscoll and Leal to help overcome multiple offensive tackle injuries and Watt’s absence. The team drafted Leal in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He’s been on and off the team’s roster and practice squad this season.

In three games, Leal has posted two combined tackles in 2025. He has 35 combined tackles, including three for loss, four pass defenses and one sack in 31 career games.

Driscoll has never played for the Steelers. The team signed him to its practice squad in October.

From 2020-24, Driscoll made 67 appearances for the Philadelphia Eagles. Those games included 18 starts.
