As previously reported, NXT General Manager Ava recently announced that a tournament will be held to determine the next challenger for WWE Men’s Speed Champion Jasper Troy’s Speed Title. This tournament will begin on next week’s episode of WWE NXT.
WWE has officially announced the competitors in the #1 contender’s tournament. In the first round, Tavion Heights will face EVOLVE’s Eli Knight, while Andre Chase will compete against Lexis King. The winners of these matches will advance to the finals to determine the #1 contender.
Troy earned his title shot by winning a tournament himself. He defeated El Grande Americano on the November 11th episode of NXT to claim the title.
