Terence Crawford bowed out from boxing earlier this week.
Crawford called time on his illustrious career after a career-best victory over Canelo Alvarez in September, which saw him become a five-weight world champion and the undisputed super middleweight champion.
Despite the lure of a potential rematch with Alvarez, the Omaha man announced his retirement on Tuesday.
“Walking away as a great with nothing else left to prove. #CrawfordERA,” the 38-year-old posted on X.
Crawford was reportedly on a shortlist of names to face Jake Paul after his scheduled November exhibition with Gervonta Davis was cancelled.

Paul opted to face two-time heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua and the pair will fight on Friday at the Kaseya Center in Miami, live on Netflix.
‘The Problem Child’ dismissed Crawford’s retirement announcement when asked by media on Tuesday and claimed the Omaha man will reverse his decision.
At a news conference in Miami on Wednesday ahead of his bout against Joshua, Paul revealed both Crawford and Canelo as his top targets.
The Ohio man also vowed to end hopes of a long-awaited Joshua-Tyson Fury showdown, which is being eyed for next summer.
“Yeah it’s [a Tyson Fury fight] going to [go up in smoke],” Paul said
“I have plans.
“I want Terence Crawford, Canelo.
“You know we’re always looking into the future as well as Anthony.
“So that’s what a good businessman and fighter does, but I’m putting a stint in his plans for sure.
“100% and you’re going to maybe see me versus Tyson Fury.

“Forget about Tommy [Fury].
“We’ll just move on to the big bro.”
Paul is at least a 7/1 underdog to defeat ‘AJ’, who is set to fight for the first time since a devastating fifth round knockout loss to Daniel Dubois last September.
Paul was last seen in June securing a unanimous decision win over former world champion, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in a cruiserweight contest.
