The second semifinal is turning out to be an exciting one. After having an exciting tournament, India and England are facing each other at the Providence Stadium. After facing some rain interruptions initially, the match turned out to be a perfect thriller. After posting a defendable total, Team India is thriving in the second innings. But Moeen Ali’s dismissal on Axar’s delivery came into the limelight. 

Moeen Ali’s Exciting Dismissal:

After losing some crucial wickets initially, England is under pressure. In the 8th over, Axar Patel came to bowl and Moeen Ali was on the strike. Axar Patel delivered a length ball aimed at the leg stump. Moeen Ali, attempting to work it into the leg side, felt it brush his pad. 

Momentarily unsure of its direction, he moved down the pitch off-balance. However, Rishabh Pant swiftly grabbed the ball from beside the stumps and dismantled the leg stump, capitalizing on Moeen’s uncertainty and movement. 

England is Under Pressure:

England has shown amazing class in the earlier stage of the tournament. While choosing to bowl first, England stopped India with 171 runs. But they faced consecutive woes while batting in the second innings. The Indian bowlers thrived in the condition. After Jos Buttler tried to give a decent start, Axar Patel sent him back scoring 23 runs. 

That was the beginning and England kept struggling. Phil Salt was bowled scoring 5 runs. Kuldeep Yadav is performing well and secured three wickets already. Axar also secured three wickets. Chasing the target of 172 runs, England is on the back foot already. In the 13th over, they are standing on 73/7.
