Concern for Packers quarterback Jordan Love as he’s ruled out of Bears game after brutal helmet hit

Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love left the Packers’ NFC North showdown Saturday night against Chicago because of a concussion.

Love was shaken up after he absorbed a helmet-to-helmet hit by defensive lineman Austin Booker on a second-quarter sack. Booker was flagged for roughing the passer.

Love eventually jogged off the field and went into the blue injury tent on Green Bay’s sideline. Then he walked to the visiting locker room.

Speaking shortly after the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said he had no update on Love. The Packers play the Baltimore Ravens next Saturday.

Backup quarterback Malik Willis was brought in to deputize for Love. At the half, the Packers held a 6-0 lead and before his exit, Love had competed 8-of-13 passes for 77 yards. He also rushed twice for seven yards.

Caleb Williams threw a 46-yard touchdown pass to DJ Moore in overtime as the Bears overcame a 10-point deficit late in the fourth quarter Saturday night for a 22-16 win over the Packers.

The Bears (11-4) extended their lead in the NFC North to 1 1/2 games over the Packers (9-5-1) with two left to play and got some payback for a loss at Lambeau Field two weeks earlier.

While Bears-Packers is always a heated affair, this edition of the classic NFL rivalry was more chippy than others.

Early in the contest, a Packers defensive back delivered a blindside hit to Bears wide receiver DJ Moore.

He briefly was knocked out of the game before eventually returning to the contest.

It was Chicago’s sixth win this season after trailing in the final two minutes and its most incredible – Green Bay had a win probability of 99%.
