As previously reported, top WWE NXT star Trick Williams was moved to SmackDown’s internal roster. However, there now seems to be a conflicting situation regarding this news.
According to PWInsider.com, Williams has not officially been listed on either RAW or SmackDown yet. The Wrestling Observer has shared a similar report, indicating that Williams will be the focus of a storyline in which both RAW and SmackDown’s General Managers will attempt to sign him. Furthermore, the report states that Williams will appear in this week’s episode of SmackDown, and it is suspected that this information is being released to add intrigue to his upcoming storyline.
This comes after reports that Williams recently became engaged to Lash Legend, who has also moved to SmackDown and is currently teaming with Nia Jax. As we know, WWE has fluctuated in its policies regarding spouses or partners working together on the same brand. Under the current ownership, it tends to be the case that spouses end up on the same show.
Williams last appeared on NXT on November 25th, where he lost to Myles Borne, which may have been his final appearance on the show for the time being.
