The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Tuesday announced their team for the T20I series against India. All-rounder Charith Asalanka will be leading Sri Lanka in the shortest format against the Men in Blue.
Former captain, Wanindu Hasaranga who resigned from captaincy 12 days ago after Sri Lanka’s early elimination from the T20 World Cup will be replaced by the 27-year old Asalanka.
Dhananjaya De Silva is still the captain in the test format and the board did not announce any changes in the ODI squad led by Kusal Mendis.
The 3-match T20I series will begin from July 27 and all the matches set to take place at the Pallekele International Stadium.
