“We are good…”Shoaib Malik makes a humble request to team India for travelling to Pakistan

Former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik has asked the Indian Cricket Team to consider visiting Pakistan for the Champions Trophy in 2025. It’s important to note that India and Pakistan haven’t played cricket matches against each other outside of big tournaments since 2013.

The Champions Trophy in 2025 is set to take place in Pakistan, which means the Indian team would need to go there to play. But because of the ongoing political issues between the two countries, it seems unlikely that the Indian team, known as the Men in Blue, will agree to travel to Pakistan.

In light of various reports stating that India has refused to travel to the opposing nation, Shoaib Malik has sincerely asked India to consider visiting Pakistan and to keep political issues separate from sports. Malik continued by saying that since Pakistan traveled to India for the 2023 ODI World Cup, it’s now India’s turn to show their trust by visiting Pakistan.

“Any concerns between the two countries should be addressed separately and not interfere with sports. The Pakistan team went to India last year, and now it’s a good chance for the Indian team to visit us. I believe many Indian players haven’t played in Pakistan before, so this would be a great experience for them. We are good people(Hum bahut acche log hai)and very welcoming., so I’m sure the Indian team should definitely consider coming,” Malik told Cricket Pakistan.

A report from PTI says that the Champions Trophy’s timing and structure were not talked about at the recent yearly meeting of the ICC. The report also mentions that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is letting the ICC handle the situation of getting India to come to Pakistan for the big event.

The planned schedule shows that PCB has set all of India’s games in Lahore, including the semi-finals and the final. The match between India and Pakistan is planned for March 1. Last year, Pakistan also hosted the Asia Cup 2023. But, the event was held with a Hybrid format because India didn’t want to travel there.
