Kisumu RFC have beefed up their squad after signing two forwards, Hamza Kassim and Noel Harun, from Kenya Cup side Kabras RFC in the just-concluded transfer window.
The duo joins the Brave Hearts on loan from Kabras RFC as Kisumu look to turn around their season following three defeats in the opening quarter of the Kenya Cup campaign.
“We’ve signed Hamza Kassim and Noel Harun from Kabras,” Kisumu RFC chairman Dr Gabriel Ouma confirmed to Scrummage Africa.
Hamza has been an ever-present figure for Kabras RFC in the Eric Shirley Shield squad, featuring prominently at prop, while Harun adds further depth to Kisumu’s forward pack as a prop having also joined Kabras from Strathmore Leos..

The latest additions take Kisumu’s confirmed signings in the December window to four, having already brought in Kenya Cup-winning scrum-half Dan Angwech on loan from Kabras RFC and Antony Owino from Menengai Oilers.
The Brave Hearts have developed a reputation for making effective use of the December transfer window, with mid-season reinforcements playing a key role in helping them stay afloat over the past two seasons.
Kisumu RFC will be aiming to climb into the top half of the Kenya Cup standings and will kick off the year with a home fixture against champions Kabras RFC. They currently sit 11th on the log with no points.
