Jamal Murray has his work cut out for him with the Denver Nuggets missing four starters.

Nikola Jokic suffered a knee hyperextension against the Miami Heat and he will be reevaluated in four weeks.

The Denver Nuggets are already without Aaron Gordon, Christian Braun and Cameron Johnson.

They also lost their backup big man Jonas Valanciunas, who suffered a right calf injury against the Toronto Raptors.

Murray has never been named an All-Star in his 10-year NBA career, but if he can shine and put up some big numbers with the Nuggets over the next few weeks, he would strengthen his All-Star case for February.

However, Murray said he isn’t focused on being named an All-Star, instead he just wants to win.

“Obviously love to be an All-Star, all NBA, scoring champ, MVP. I want to be all them, right?

“But winning matters…if we win a championship but I don’t make All-Star [team]…we win a championship…that’s my mindset.”

In 32 games, Murray is averaging 25.1 points, 6.9 assists and 4.5 rebounds on 48.2 percent shooting from the field and 45.3 percent shooting from three.

He is coming off some down shooting performances, but overall his production has been high this season.

With Jokic out, the Nuggets need Murray to rise up and play at an All-Star level if they don’t want to plummet in the standings.
