What do you get when you mix the patent leather from the Air Jordan 11 and stylishly drop it on an Air Jordan 4 so black that you can’t help but think Black Cat? You get the Air Jordan 11LAB4, which is one of the least-celebrated, but unique AJ4s out there. Let’s talk sneakers.

Where Can You Buy the Air Jordan 11LAB4 ‘Black Patent’?
The 11LAB4 released in 2015, so retail isn’t an option. Resale is the only way to grab a pair now.
StockX has sizes 7-14 with prices ranging from $287 to $748. GOAT has sizes 8-14 with prices ranging from $492 to $2,059.
What Are the Other Sneakers in This Series?
Jordan’s LAB concept pairs one silhouette’s materials with another’s tooling. The 11LAB4 put AJ11 patent leather on an AJ4 base, and the series only produced two colorways: the ‘Black Patent’ (719864-010) and the ‘Red Patent’ (719864-600), which dropped in University Red later that summer.
The broader LAB umbrella also includes the 3LAB5 and 5LAB3, which swapped elephant print and 3M reflective materials between the Jordan 3 and Jordan 5. Those earlier releases set the stage for the 11LAB4’s patent leather experiment.
There aren’t a ton of sizes out there and the prices run from reasonable to ridiculous–depending on the size. The $349 StockX is asking for a size 14 is at the top of my single-sneaker budget, but this one is strong. It might get me to push the button.
