AEW Collision Results 1/31 – Tommaso Ciampa, The Rascalz Make In-Ring Debuts

Ciampa comes to the ring first. Briscoe follows.

Ciampa offered his hand and Briscoe accepted before locking up. Briscoe backed him to the corner. They locked up again and Ciampa backed him up the corner. Ciampa with a side headlock takeover into a headscissors. Briscoe blocked a leg trip and did an armdrag takedown. Ciampa with a side headlock and a shoulder tackle, but Briscoe didn’t budge. Ciampa kicked him in the gut and forearmed him. They exchanged blows.

Briscoe backed him up to the rope. Briscoe with a Pele kick and sent Ciampa to the outside. Briscoe took him down with a dive. Briscoe punched him against the barricade before putting him in the ring. Ciampa rolled out. Briscoe followed and Ciampa chopped him against the apron. Briscoe chopped him and Ciampa got in the ring. Briscoe chopped him in the corner and followed with a kick and a cover for one.

Briscoe suplexed Ciampa. He punched him in the head, sending him to the mat. They fought in the corner. Ciampa held him down with his foot on his neck. Ciampa chopped him in the opposite corner. Briscoe with Redneck Kung Fu from the apron. He tried to suplex Ciampa. They battled on the apron. Briscoe went for a powerbomb, but Ciampa put his left leg over the rope and did a Psycho Driller on the apron.

After the break, it was announced 10 minutes had passed. Briscoe chopped Ciampa against the ropes and followed with a swinging neckbreaker. He hit two lariats in both corners. Ciampa blocked Briscoe from picking him up. He sent him to the outside. Briscoe did a running dropkick through the ropes before doing a blockbuster from the apron. He put Ciampa back in the ring and Ciampa connected with Willow’s Bell and a pin for two.

Ciampa put Briscoe on the turnbuckle and chopped him before joining him. He lifted Briscoe, but Briscoe blocked him. Briscoe headbutted him twice and slapped him in the face, sending Ciampa crashing to the mat. Briscoe landed a Froggy Bow and a cover for 2.5.

Ciampa backed him into the corner. Briscoe chopped him, placed him on the turnbuckle, and slapped him again. Ciampa did another Psycho Driller from the top. They blocked each others Jay Driller attempts. Ciampa did backslide with five minutes to go. He threw Briscoe out of the ring and did a running knee lift. Ciampa sent him into the time keeper’s table. Briscoe sent him into the ring post and grabbed a table. He put Ciampa on his shoulders, but Ciampa fought out of it and put Briscoe on the table. He did a running knee and put Briscoe in the ring before standing on the table. Briscoe connected with a Froggy Bow from the ringpost through the table. Briscoe rolled off the table. He made it to the ring first, followed by Ciampa.

They slapped hands and exchanged blows. Ciampa followed Briscoe to the rope and kicked him in the face. Briscoe took him down with a running thrust kick. Briscoe headbutted three times. Ciampa kicked his knee out from under him. Ciampa dropped the kneepad and went for a running knee, but Briscoe flipped himself out of the way. Briscoe with a Death Valley Driver and connected with a Froggy Bow. Ciampa blocked a Jay Driller and suplexed him. He took him down with a running knee for the win.

Winner (and new): Tommaso Ciampa

After the match, Kyle Fletcher came out. He clapped and pointed to the title and said “it’s mine”.
