Preview & Predictions for AEW Dynamite:
On tap for tonight’s episode, Kris Statlander defends the AEW Women’s World Championship against Thekla in a strap match. Considering Statlander retained before, I assume this is just a means to extend this feud and give it a gimmick stipulation to keep it fresh before Statlander moves on to a new opponent in the future for AEW Revolution. I don’t think Thekla is winning the belt in any fashion.
I do not think there’s much of a chance Tommaso Ciampa drops the AEW TNT Championship already, even though Kyle Fletcher is a game challenger. I would expect Konosuke Takeshita or Kazuchika Okada to somehow get involved and for that to ultimately be the difference maker that costs Fletcher the match, leading to more tension within The Don Callis Family and those three having issues that are bubbling.
Without knowing the wildcard of the three-way for the tag team title shot, it’s hard to predict if The Rascalz or The Young Bucks will win. However, I do think The Rascalz have a better shot at winning than The Young Bucks, if not just because they’re the new team and The Young Bucks against FTR is something that can wait for the future.
Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland having an interview segment feels like they’ll announce a match between the two for Grand Slam Australia or Collision, or maybe even Revolution. They’re both out of the running for the next title shot, so they might as well take it out on each other, right?
