AEW’s Australia tour had another surprise — and it wasn’t a match result.
After fans at AEW Grand Slam Australia in Sydney getting moved to better seats, the same thing exact thing happened the very next night at AEW’s “House Rules” event in Brisbane.
According to multiple attendees posting online, large sections of the Brisbane venue were tarped off — and fans were once again upgraded closer to the action before the show began. One fan posted about the experience and made it clear this wasn’t their first upgrade of the weekend.
“Another night, another upgrade. Looks like they struggled to sell Brisbane but no doubt it’ll be a great show! Nothing but respect for them to give us these seats, think other companies would’ve had half sold stadiums or made fans pay more…”
That reaction followed social media photos and videos showing covered sections inside the arena, while attendees were relocated into tighter, more concentrated seating areas.
The Brisbane event came right after Grand Slam Australia in Sydney, where roughly 7,001 tickets were reportedly distributed in a venue capable of holding around 21,000. Fans in Sydney also reported unexpected upgrades before that show began.
