AFG makes history, Beats SA in ODI and won 3-match series

The five-wicket game by Rashid Khan played a massive role in Afghanistan making history by registering their first ODI series win against South Africa with a 177-run victory.

This victory is the biggest one by Afghanistan by runs in ODI.

Afghanistan secured a memorable series win, as they clenched the three-match series with a lead of 2-0 as they won with six-wickets on Wednesday, followed by a second victory on Friday.

As they chose to bat first, Afghani team set a massive target of 311/4 in 50 overs, which included powerful century from their opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz, accompanied by half centuries from Rahmat Shah (50) and Asmatullah Omarazi (86*).

South Africa faced difficulties in building a opening partnership, and their team collapsed in the middle and lower order as they were bowled out for just 134 in 34.2 overs.

This resulted in them facing a shameful defeat with 15 overs remaining.
