According to an announcement from South Africa Baseball, there will an African Baseball Championship in July. Thus far, the WBSC has yet to release any statement on the tournament, nor is any host known. The last tournament to decide an African champion was 2019, with the winner, South Africa, then qualifying for the 2020 Europe-Africa Olympic Qualification Tournament in Italy.
