Indian team have faced another setback within just a week before the opening match of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Indian team were engage in a match simulation before the series opener, where the team has faced a massive injury setback as top-order batter Shubman Gill injured his finger while fielding in the slip cordon.
There were a few concerns earlier on about Virat Kohli as well, but he got cleared after the scans were done. However, there is no further information regarding KL Rahul since he was hit on the elbow, as he did not further indulge in the match simulations.
Though there were doubts over the availability of Rohit Sharma for the opening Test, Rahul was on the list to open the inning. He looked in good form during the match simulations before he got injured.
