AJ Styles Is The Definition of Professional Wrestling

Ahead of his potential WWE retirement this weekend at the Royal Rumble, Doc Gallows wants everyone to know how important AJ Styles is to professional wrestling.

Former WWE Superstar Doc Gallows recently spoke with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed. During the interview, Gallows heaped praise on his former Bullet Club stablemate and good friend, AJ Styles. The Good Brother made it a point to try to hammer home what Styles has meant to the wrestling industry.

“AJ is the definition of professional wrestling,” Doc Gallows said. “He belongs in the same category as Hiroshi Tanahashi. It’s really only been the last decade that the WWE audience got to see AJ. There were those 18 years prior.

“The years in Georgia, putting TNA on his back in an era where they didn’t have a lot of recognizable faces. When the company then became flooded with wrestling superstars, AJ still stood head and shoulders above everybody else. That’s what happened everywhere he went.”

WrestleZone will have live coverage of the WWE Royal Rumble event later this week.
