AJ Styles signs new deal with WWE as a producer

As we previously reported here on eWn, former WWE Champion AJ Styles has signed a new deal with WWE, though initial details about his role remained unclear. On today’s edition of “Wrestling Observer Live,” Bryan Alvarez provided further insight into what’s next for the now-retired star.

According to Alvarez, Styles will transition into a producer role with WWE. The move aligns with comments Styles recently made on the “Talk N Shop” podcast, where he expressed a strong desire to mentor younger talent and contribute to the company’s future from behind the scenes. He said,

“I’m still going to be working with WWE. That’s not going to change. I’ve got dreams and aspirations of helping out younger talents and helping them get ready. If somebody’s not ready once they get there, it’s my job to hopefully help them reach that point where they can do it — where they’re confident when they step into a WWE ring.”

During Monday’s episode of WWE RAW, WWE paid tribute to Styles’ career. WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker, who faced Styles at WrestleMania 36, made a surprise appearance to announce Styles as the newest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Styles will officially be inducted during WrestleMania 42 Week later this April.
