Spinner performed well in the match

Spinners Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Shakib Al Hasan combined for seven wickets in the second innings on Sunday, capping an incredible victory for the team captained by Najmul Hossain Shanto. In 11.5 overs, Mehidy finished with 4 for 21, while former captain Shakib took three wickets for 44 runs.

Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan’s first-inning centurion, scored 51 runs in the second inning as well, but his effort was in vain as the hosts lost their fourth straight Test match captained by Shan Masood. Bangladesh, which has been criticized for not winning enough Test matches, has now defeated Australia, England, and Pakistan once apiece. In just 143 Tests, they had only won six of them, at Rawalpindi.

The World Test Championship (WTC) will feature the second and final Test, which will also take place at Rawalpindi starting on Friday. Following their loss, Pakistan dropped to eighth place in the nine-team WTC table, while Bangladesh moved up to sixth.
