Indian pace bowler Akash Deep expressed how he admired Indian captain Rohit Sharma. Akash has been impressive in his two Test matches so far, along with the smooth transition from domestic to international cricket, and then the relaxed place in the dressing room under Rohit’s leadership.
Before the 2nd Test against Bangladesh, Akash showed his gratitude to Rohit Sharma, along with senior player like Virat Kohli as they motivated him to the right path. He acknowledged the support and leadership they showed in guiding him, which turned out to be a major part of his successful transition to international cricket.
“When I came here, I witnessed a different level of dedication and hard work from the players who are legends of the game, and considered the gods of cricket like Rohit, Virat bhai,” Akash told reporters in Kanpur.
“I realised that they have achieved so much and are still working so hard during training. Their thought process is at a different level, this motivates me to work even harder,” he added.
