One of the biggest games of the 2025 AFCON so far will be Algeria vs Nigeria in the quarterfinals. Both teams are unbeaten in the competition and are among the favorites to win the competition.

Algeria and Nigeria advance to the quarter-finals after winning their respective Round of 16 matches earlier this week.

Nigeria continued their winning streak in the AFCON after beating Mozambique 4-0. Nigeria’s goal scorers were Ademola Lookman, Akor Adams, and Victor Osimhen, who scored two goals.

Nigeria is the only team left in the tournament to have won every match in regular time.

Algeria defeated DR Congo 1-0 after extra time. The match finished in a 0-0 draw in regular time. In the last minute of extra time, Adil Boulbina scored a screamer to avoid a penalty shootout and help Alegria reach the quarter-finals.

Algeria has won all of their games in the tournament as well, but the match against DR Congo ruined their winning streak in regular time.
