UFC veteran Aljamain Sterling has given his thoughts on Movsar Evloev’s reliability as he pushes for a backup role for the Evloev vs Lerone Murphy fight at UFC London.
For quite some time now, Aljamain Sterling has been making his feelings regarding his career and the Ultimate Fighting Championship pretty clear. He isn’t hiding the fact that he’s quite frustrated about the current state of his role in the featherweight division, and his desire this year is clearly to stay active and make his presence known in a big way at 145 pounds.
Recently, Aljamain Sterling has suggested that he should be the UFC London backup fighter for the main event between Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy. The winner of that contest is expected to go on and fight Alexander Volkanovski for the UFC featherweight championship, so it makes sense that ‘Funk Master’ would want to try and somewhat skip the queue.
In a recent tweet, following an interview in which he called Evloev unreliable, Aljamain Sterling had the following to say to fans.

“Movsar Evloev is one of the most unreliable guys.”
Following a bit of backlash, Sterling had the following to say to his critics.
“Let the crazy ones talk all they want. Movsar has had many cancelled bouts in the UFC. Me wanting to step up and risk cutting weight so that the fight isn’t scrapped, should be great for the fans. Somehow people are bashing it? Some of yall hella weird [shrug emoji]
Regardless of whether or not you’re a fan of Aljamain, it’s clear to see that he is doing everything in his power to get back to some kind of activity. Who knows, maybe by this time next year he’ll be in a position to challenge for a second world title. Either way, his legacy is cemented – and at this point, he has nothing to lose.
