“All three whites…”Rahul Dravid has a special message for Virat Kohli after the stalwart retires from T20s

India’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, motivated star player Virat Kohli to aim for the World Test Championship, which is the only major title he hasn’t won yet. This encouragement came after India’s victory in the T20 World Cup 2024 on June 29 at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. India won this tournament by defeating South Africa by seven runs in the final match, ending an 11-year wait for another ICC Trophy and securing their second T20 World Cup title.

Virat Kohli won his third major cricket championship, having previously claimed the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy. At 35, he had spent 12 years striving to win the T20 World Cup, having played in five editions and giving his best effort each time. His long-held dream was realized when he scored 76 runs off 59 balls, a performance that was crucial in India’s victory in the key match.

After India’s big victory, the ICC posted a special video on Instagram showing a quick look at how the Indian team celebrated in their locker room. In the video, we see captain Rohit Sharma and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah coming into the dressing room.

After that, each player gets a chance to take pictures with the special trophy they won. Famous player Kohli is seen smiling widely while holding the trophy and giving it a kiss for a nice photo. After taking pictures with the trophy, Kohli is seen giving Dravid a high-five, and Dravid has a special message for Kohli.

The Head coach of the Indian team wants Kohli to try to win the only trophy he hasn’t won yet, which is the World Test Championship.

“All three white ticked off, one red to go, tick it,” Dravid can be heard saying to Kohli in the viral video.

Kohli almost won the World Test Championship twice in 2021 and 2023, but India lost in the finals to New Zealand and Australia. Now that he’s retired from T20 cricket, Kohli will concentrate on one-day internationals and Test matches as his career winds down. He’s excited to win the one major trophy he hasn’t yet claimed.
