Aman Sehrawat Reveals Love for Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

The Paris Olympics 2024 is going on in full glory. On the 14th day of the tournament, India got another medal winner. 21-year-old wrestler Aman Sehrawat secured the bronze medal in 57kg freestyle wrestling category. Sehrawat won against Darian Toi Cruz of Puerto Rico with a score of 13-5 in the men’s freestyle 57kg match. This victory secured India’s sixth medal at the Games and made Sehrawat the youngest Indian medalist at the Summer Games. After the win, he shared some interesting information about himself. 

Aman Secured India’s Sixth Medal:

Aman Sehrawat won the bronze medal for India in wrestling at the Paris Olympics 2024. This victory made it India’s sixth medal at these Games. Sehrawat defeated Puerto Rico’s Darian Toi Cruz 13-5 to secure the bronze. Aman’s performance in the bronze medal match was outstanding. Cruz scored first by forcing Sehrawat out of bounds, but Sehrawat quickly took control by flipping Cruz and earning two points. 

The match was closely contested, with Sehrawat leading 4-3 at the thirty-second break. In the second half, Sehrawat increased his lead by locking Cruz and scoring three more points. Cruz needed medical attention during the match, which affected his performance. Sehrawat took advantage of this, adding two more points to lead 10-5. He extended his lead further and won decisively with a score of 13-5, earning India’s first wrestling medal at the Paris Olympics.

Aman’s Legacy: 

At just 21 years and 24 days old, Aman Sehrawat set a new record, surpassing PV Sindhu’s mark of 21 years, one month, and 14 days from her silver medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics. His bronze medal in wrestling is India’s eighth Olympic medal in this sport.

This bronze also makes Paris 2024 India’s second-most successful Olympic Games, with a total of six medals. India won two silver and four bronze medals, with previous silver medals won by Sushil Kumar and Ravi Kumar Dahiya in London 2012 and Tokyo 2020, respectively.

Aman’s Favourites Other Than Wrestling:

Aman Sehrawat loves Kaju Katli but has to avoid it to manage his weight before winning his medal. Besides this, Aman is also a fan of the show Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. After the win, he also shared this. He said, “Apart from wrestling, I like to watch Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma.”

Despite celebrating his victory, Aman Sehrawat was already focused on the future, considering the upcoming challenges and opportunities. His mind remained on what lay ahead, reflecting his readiness and determination to continue striving for success. He said, “My next target will be to prepare for the 2028 Olympics and the 2026 Asian Games,”
