Dublin, Ireland (March 15th, 2026)– Anthony Cacace, 37, (25-1, 9 KOs) defeats James “Jazza” Dickens, 34, (36-6, 15 KOs) by unanimous decision to claim the WBA super featherweight title and become a two-time world champion. After 12 rounds, the judges scored the fight 115-113, 116-112, and 116-113.
Cacace’s victory marked his 10th consecutive win, ending Dickens’ four-fight winning streak to claim his second world title.
Cacace described the win as a “poor night at the office,” later revealing he fought with an injured left hand that had prevented him from sparring for six weeks prior to the bout.
Dickens started strongly in the early rounds, using his southpaw style to find success on the inside. Cacace adjusted in the fifth round, rocking Dickens with a left hook and maintaining pressure through the middle of the fight. A clash of heads in the ninth round left Cacace with a cut above his right eye, but he remained composed to secure the points victory.
With this win, Cacace has now defeated four consecutive reigning or former world champions. He previously held the IBF version of the title in 2024 before vacating it.
Cacace has expressed a strong desire for a unification bout, specifically calling out Emanuel Navarrete. Other potential opponents mentioned include O’Shaquie Foster or a domestic clash with undercard winner Ryan Garner.
