I learned basketball by watching Heat local telecasts on Sun Sports with Eric Reid and Coach Tony Fiorentino. They wouldn’t make the telecast about two guys having a conversation about basketball, saying hot takes and opinions while the game occurred in the background. They explained why the opposition was on a run, diagrammed plays, they talked and were a visual picture of “basketball”. I followed the Heat ever since, coaching recreational teams and even going to Toronto to watch a Heat game.
