Arman Tsarukyan may not have locked down a shot at the UFC lightweight belt, but that hasn’t stopped him from racking up wins and causing chaos outside of the Octagon.
On Saturday, Tsarukyan returned to the mat at Real American Freestyle 6 for a match with Georgio Poullas in the evening’s co-main event. Things immediately got off to an awkward start as Poullos and Tsarukyan were more interested in slapping the sh*t out of each other than actually wrestling.
And that was just the calm before the storm.
After two rounds, Tsarukyan was up 4-1, but things went completely off the rails in the third as Poullos came out putting on a fast and furious pace in an attempt to close the gap.
With Tsarukyan up 5-3 as the time ticked off the clock, Poullos attempted a last-second takedown. Tsarukyan stuffed it, but then proceeded to throw a punch while on top of his opponent. That resulted in both teams rushing onto the mat for an all-out brawl.
After a few minutes, the chaos subsides, with Tsarukyan disappearing and Poullos being escorted backstage by none other than former UFC interim titleholder Colby Covington.
Official Result: Arman Tsarukyan def. Georgio Poullos (5-3).
