Premier League leaders Arsenal travel to the south coast to face Southampton in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup on April 4.

Mikel Arteta’s side currently sit nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table and have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, although they were beaten 2-9 by Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final last week.

The Gunners can no longer win the quadruple, but Arteta will still expect his side to win at least one trophy in the coming weeks.

Away from the action, though, it is now emerging that the north London side are set to battle it out with two of their fiercest rivals in the race to sign an England star.

According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal have sensed an opportunity to join the race to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson this summer.

The report claims that the Gunners have joined Chelsea and Manchester City in exploring a possible move for the Englishman, who has been in fine form for Forest over the past 18 months.

Anderson, 23, joined Forest from Newcastle United in 2024 and has since made a total of 83 appearance for the club across all competitions.

The central midfielder has also established himself as a regular for England since Thomas Tuchel’s appointment as the Three Lions’ manager, and the former Newcastle man looks set to be part of his squad for this summer’s World Cup in the United States.

It is claimed that Chelsea have identified the Englishman as a potential successor to Enzo Fernandez, whose future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain heading into the summer transfer window.

Forest are set to demand a fee in excess of £100 million for Anderson, who is under contract at The City Ground until the end of the 2028/29 season.
