Arsenal are back in action on Saturday when they travel to face Southampton in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
The Gunners remain in contention to win three competitions this season, with Mikel Arteta’s side sitting nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table and also in the last eight of the Champions League.
While the north London outfit look likely to end their two-decade wait for a top flight title, it appears that those in charge of the Gunners’ scouting are also hard at work identifying potential transfer targets.
According to Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane, who is enjoying a fine campaign.
The report claims that the Gunners have identified the 19-year-old as a possible transfer target ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Kofane joined Leverkusen from Spanish side Ablacete last year and has since made 39 appearances for his current side, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists.
The teenager was particularly impressive in the Champions League this term, impressing as the Bundesliga outfit were defeated by Arsenal in the quarters.
His impressive displays haven’t gone unnoticed, though, and Spanish giants Real Madrid are among a number of other clubs said to have been monitoring the forward.
Kofane is under contract at Leverkusen until the end of the 2028/29 campaign, but it appears that the German giants may face a battle to keep hold of the striker beyond this summer if his fine form continues.
It is claimed, however, that Leverkusen will demand as much as £60 million for the attacker if they are to let him leave, with their price tag said to be in the region of £52-60 million.
