Ash by Elegance Hopes for In-Ring Return » TWNP-Wrestling News

It’s been a few months since TNA Knockouts Champion Ash by Elegance had to forfeit her Title after not being cleared to defend it. While the former Dana Brooke didn’t confirm her retirement on that fateful day, TNA Producer Tommy Dreamer confirmed that the ex-WWE 24/7 Champion was forced to retire. However, fans of the former statistician for Titus Worldwide might get a dream come true. Ash by Elegance hopes she can get back in the ring one day. Here’s the latest on Ash by Elegance’s future.

Ash by Elegance Working As TNA Producer, Eyes Onscreen Role

It’s really hard to come to terms with retirement from pro wrestling, especially when it feels like the decision was made for you. Superstars like Daniel Bryan and Edge both agreed that leaving wrestling was crucial for coming to terms with retirement. Ultimately, stepping away opened the door for both men to return to the ring.

Meanwhile, Stone Cold Steve Austin admitted it was way too hard to be an onscreen character post-retirement. All he wanted to do was get back in the ring. Therefore, these sudden changes impact pro wrestlers differently.

Nonetheless, Ash by Elegance feels like her world has been ripped away, and she wants to experience normalcy as much as possible. That’s why Ashley Mae Sebera has been working backstage as a producer for the TNA Knockouts Division. It’s been helpful for her to immerse herself in her job while coping with the fact that she may never compete again.

Ashley explained,

“This just is a life lesson. Like anything in life, never take anything for granted. And not that I took that title for granted, but I hit the ground running. Then it’s like, whoa, let’s take a moment and really digest what had happened. It was a blessing that it happened back where it all started in WWE and NXT.”

The ex-Dana Brooke was at a low following her WWE release. It was Shawn Michaels and Tommy Dreamer who convinced her not to give up. Therefore, Ash by Elegance reinvented herself in TNA, only to return to NXT and win the TNA Knockouts Title.

Sadly, she would give up the Championship a few months later. At the time, it was unknown if Ash by Elegance was hurt or if it was a storyline. However, it’s come to light that the former NXT Superstar is dealing with something serious, and it’s hindering her from performing. Back against the wall, Ashy by Elegance hopes that things will turn around.

Ash by Elegance Hopes for In-Ring Return

Since forfeiting the Championship, Ash by Elegance has been quiet about her pro wrestling future. At first, making a return to wrestling seemed bleak for the former gymnast. However, the ex-Knockouts Champion recently hinted at a mental or physical breakthrough that might mean better days are ahead,

“I’m working every single day to maybe, possibly be back in the ring. I can’t say when. I just know that I am working with an amazing company in TNA that believes in me.

They’ve given me an opportunity to still be on camera, to manage my brand, and to now search for ‘Mr. Elegance.”

Ash by Elegance’s brand is growing. The star was recently featured in a full-length documentary called Immersed.

Immersed Shines No Light on Retirement

After fearing that her career would be forgotten, Ash by Elegance was memorialized in her first-ever documentary. TNA and The Fight Network produced a 25-minute biopic on the life and career of Ashley Mae Sebera.

The star tells her story of perseverance and relives the glory of capturing the Knockouts Title. She is also very candid about the heartbreak of relinquishing the Championship.

However, Ashley Sebera still hasn’t divulged why she was forced to retire, confirming,

“When you don’t really feel like talking about something, you kinda just let it be known. When I feel comfortable talking about it, I will.”

Whenever she’s ready, the world will be listening. Ash by Elegance hopes to get back into the ring and reclaim her Title. We, as fans, must give her the time and space to do what she needs to do to live a comfortable, happy life.
