Ash By Elegance is opening up about her WWE departure and why she believes she never truly got the opportunity to show everything she was capable of inside the ring.
While speaking on the Generation of Wrestling Podcast, Ash reflected on her transition into TNA and how the move gave her something she felt was missing during her WWE run — confidence and creative freedom. She explained that despite doing everything asked of her during her time in WWE, she constantly felt like she was waiting for a real opportunity that never came.
She described the frustration of working week after week with hopes that her moment would finally arrive, only to feel stuck trying to prove herself over and over again.
“To be honest with you, this is a great question because TNA was a breath of fresh air. I needed it. I needed it for my soul. I needed it for my confidence. I just needed it. I needed it for me. I just I felt like I had so much left in the tank. I wasn’t really given a fair shot in WWE. I did everything that was ever asked of me, thinking, ‘Okay, maybe this week I will do this and then the following week I’ll finally get to showcase what I can do and maybe have like a contenders match or something.’ And I was just crawling, clawing, and itching my way to the top thinking, ‘What more can I do?’”
Ash explained that joining TNA ultimately allowed her to reset mentally and professionally. She credited the promotion with helping her rebuild confidence and find a new identity, something she said she struggled to establish during her WWE tenure.
Ash By Elegance’s comments make it clear that her WWE exit still fuels her motivation today, and her current run appears to be driven by a desire to finally show fans what she believes she was always capable of delivering.
