Aswin’s Special Daughters Day Gift to His Daughters:

After the match, Ravichandran Ashwin was congratulated by his wife, Prithi Narayanan, and daughters, Akhira and Aadhya. On the occasion of Daughter’s Day, Prithi asked Ashwin what gift he would give to their daughters. In a touching gesture, Ashwin said he would gift them the ball he used to take his five-wicket haul against Bangladesh.

Prithi asked, “Well, the kids want to know what you give them for daughter’s day”. The ace spinner promptly answered, “I give them the ball that I picked up the fifer.” But both his daughters denied the gift from their father.

While talking about the game, Ashwin said, “Actually, I don’t know how to react because the first day was something that happened very quickly. I didn’t expect to walk in here and get a hundred. I hadn’t batted for a while, so that feels great. Every time I come here, it feels special. I don’t know, there is some energy in this ground. I think that gets me going.”
