Asuka’s Added To The Chamber; AJ Lee Says She Can Still Be A Champion

The field for the upcoming Elimination Chamber match is filling up. The match takes place at the Elimination Chamber event on Feb. 28.

On the Feb. 16 episode of Raw, it was Asuka who qualified next. She defeated Nattie and Bayley to earn her spot in the steel structure. Bayley tapped out in the Asuka Lock for Asuka to win the match. So far, she joins Tiffany Stratton, Rhea Ripley, and Alexa Bliss.

Next week, the last woman from the Raw roster will qualify. We’ll see Raquel Rodriguez vs. IYO SKY vs. Kairi Sane. On the Feb. 20 episode of SmackDown, Charlotte Flair vs. Nia Jax vs. Kiana James will be the last qualifying match for the blue brand.

As Nattie was making her way up the ramp post match, Maxxine Dupri attacked her. Dupri spoke after the attack saying that she is coming for vengeance and enough is enough. She is tired of being walked on.

After Asuka qualifies for the chamber, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Rhiyo, were being interviewed backstage. They talk about their road to WrestleMania and how they defeated Nia Jax and Lash Legend last week. Ripley says that Jax and Legend turned up the heat, but they had to put them out.

As SKY was about to talk about her qualifier match for the chamber next week, The Kabuki Warriors approached. Kairi Sane days the Elimination Chamber is over because Asuka is officially in the match. After a nudge by Asuka, Sane says that they will make sure Asuka becomes champion.

Asuka tells RHIYO that they aren’t ready for the chamber as a scared Kairi gets shoved by an exiting Asuka. SKY tries to talk to Kairi but Asuka yells for her to end the segment.

Liv Morgan has a sit down interview with Michael Cole. Cole gets straight to the point and asks Morgan, who won the Royal Rumble, who she is going to be facing at WrestleMania. She says she has decided, decided not to rush this decision. Morgan mentions that she’s worked hard the past 10 years for this moment and she is going to savor it.

The Women’s World Champion, Stephanie Vaquer, interrupts the interview. She speaks in Spanish and delivers a pointed message at Morgan, which for some reason makes her cry.

“You talking about hard work? What the hell are you talking about? You haven’t sacrificed anything. WWE has handed you everything. You started your career here. You have the best doctors, the best trainers, you have everything. You wanna talk about sacrifice? I was born in Chile, where wrestling doesn’t exist, and still traveled the world-Japan, Mexico, Latin America, Europe, conquered everything.

You should be ashamed in hiding behind Judgment Day, by hiding behind a man — you need to hide behind a man, but I’ll tell you something. I went through hell and made it mine, just to make it to WWE and become champion. This championship means more to me than just a title, it’s for all the little girls and women that haven’t had that opportunity but still succeeded.

Liv, if you choose me, you will not win because I will show you what a real champion is.”

AJ Lee heads to the ring. She says last week she truly only came to support Maxxine Dupri, but she walked out as the number one contender to the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. She listed off a long list of names she’d love to face from the women’s locker room. However, she still has to deal with Becky Lynch. And because of Lynch, Lee says she can prove that she can still be a champion.

Lynch makes her way out to the ring. She says that she is going to give Lee her retirement match in Chicago at Elimination Chamber. A retirement match she never got but also doesn’t deserve. Lee then would taunt Lynch and give her a free shot. But Lynch kept her punches to herself and left the ring saying that she doesn’t fight in Memphis.
