Aubrey Edwards Signed New AEW Contract

Aubrey Edwards isn’t going anywhere in AEW, and that was made clear with a key contract update tied to the end of one of the company’s long-running shows.

Fightful Select reports that Edwards signed a new contract with AEW at some point within the past year. The detail surfaced after news broke that AEW Unrestricted is coming to an end following a six-year run, which led many fans to wonder what the future held for the podcast’s hosts.

According to the report, AEW sources confirmed that Edwards remains with the company and already secured a new deal within the last year, putting any questions about her status to rest.

Edwards has been with AEW since the company launched in 2019, making her one of the original referees when the promotion first got off the ground. She quickly became one of the most recognizable officials on the roster, working major matches across Dynamite, pay-per-view events, and other high-profile shows as AEW grew into a major promotion.

Her role expanded beyond officiating as the company developed its digital presence. Edwards became a regular presence outside the ring as co-host of AEW Unrestricted, helping interview talent and share behind-the-scenes stories with fans during the podcast’s six-year run.

Even though AEW Unrestricted is ending, the fact that Edwards signed a new contract within the past year shows that the company still sees her as an important part of its future. With AEW also planning new digital content, there’s a strong chance she’ll continue to play a visible role both in the ring and in media projects moving forward.

What do you think about Aubrey Edwards signing a new AEW contract — should she stay focused on refereeing, or continue expanding her role behind the scenes? Let us know your thoughts and leave your feedback.
