Aurora Gaming enters Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

Aurora Gaming, a Serbian esports organization, has announced its entry into the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports scene by establishing a team for the MPL Philippines. Although the organization has not yet revealed the complete details of its new roster, it has confirmed that the team will be based in Manila, Philippines.

This move marks a significant expansion for Aurora Gaming as it ventures into the competitive MLBB arena, aiming to make a mark in one of the most popular mobile esports leagues in the world.

Aurora Gaming, widely recognized in the Balkans and CIS regions, was founded in 2022 and has teams competing in various esports across different regions, including a predominantly Russian CS2 team and a Dota 2 team based in Malaysia.

Entering the MLBB scene marks Aurora Gaming’s first foray into mobile esports.This move follows the recent departure of Minana EVOS from the MPL Philippines.

Minana Esports announced on social media that while they will continue to invest in other teams, they will no longer participate in the MPL Philippines, thereby freeing up a slot for a new team.

Aurora Gaming shared the following via social media: “The latest chapter in Aurora Gaming’s expansion is the launch of our MLBB (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang) team based in Metro Manila, Philippines. We believe in the immense potential of MLBB as an esports discipline and we eagerly look forward to our roster showcasing their talents as part of Aurora’s hearth and home.”

Aurora enters the MPL Philippines at an intriguing moment. The league recently welcomed the renowned European esports organization Fnatic, which joined through a partnership with ONIC Esports.

Additionally, Team Falcons collaborated with Bren Esports to form Falcons AP.Bren. Another prominent esports organization, Team Liquid, also has a roster in the league, established after Team Liquid acquired the owners of AURA Esports and ECHO.
