The celebration in the India camp is not even taking names to stop. After 11 years of wait, India lifted the long-desired trophy. In this edition of the T20 World Cup, Team India showcased their resilience since the beginning of the T20 World Cup 2024. After being unbeaten, they entered into the final and faced South Africa. After delivering an exciting performance, they defeated South Africa and lifted the T20 World Cup trophy for the second time. After the win, Axar Patel’s social media post has gone viral. 

Team India’s Historical Win:

The T20 World Cup saw remarkable performances, with Team India shining throughout the tournament. India remained unbeaten and reached the final, facing South Africa in an exciting match at the Kensington Oval. Batting first, India lost early wickets but recovered thanks to Virat Kohli, who scored a crucial half-century with 76 runs off 59 balls. Axar Patel’s 47 runs off 31 balls and Shivam Dube’s 27 runs added to the total, setting a target of 177 runs for South Africa.

South Africa started strong in their chase, with Quinton de Kock scoring 39 runs off 31 balls and Heinrich Klaasen hitting a quick half-century with 52 runs off 27 balls. However, the Indian bowlers turned the game around. Jasprit Bumrah’s economical 16th over, where he conceded only 4 runs, was pivotal. In the final over, Hardik Pandya’s two wickets sealed the victory for India. These efforts led India to lift the T20 World Cup trophy for the second time.

Axar Patel’s Social Media Post:

On the final day, when India lost the first few wickets quickly, Axar Patel gave excellent support to Virat Kohli. He played an exciting knock of 47 runs in 31 deliveries with a strike rate of 151.61. He missed a well-deserved half-century. After winning their long-desired trophy, the entire squad was happy.

Even a day after the big win, Indian players are still celebrating. He shared a picture with Mohammed Siraj wearing the winning medal and wrote, “Morning after champions: still buzzing from our triumph.”
