Babar, Shaheen Afridi and other players have not been granted NOC by PCB for this reason

The captain of Pakistan’s cricket team, Babar Azam, along with wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan and fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, have not yet received permission from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to play in the Global T20 Canada league. The PCB has given permission to 12 other players to join various leagues, but these three key players, who are part of the highest level of contracts, are still waiting for approval. “The PCB is not fully satisfied with how the Global League is being run and has asked for more details from the organizers and the International Cricket Council (ICC). This is why the approval for these players has been delayed,” said an official from the PCB.

The Global T20 Canada League is set to take place from July 25 to August 11, and Pakistan’s Test series against Bangladesh at home is expected to begin around August 19.

Players who have received No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) to participate in various leagues include Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, and Zaman Khan for the USA Major League from July 4 to 28, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Hasnain, Salman Ali Agha, and Shadab Khan for the ongoing Lanka Premier League, which concludes on July 21, Fakhar Zaman for the Caribbean Premier League from August 29 to October 6, Usama Mir for the Hundred from July 23 to August 20, and Mohammad Amir for county cricket.

Interestingly, the PCB has not approved young players Saim Ayub and Azam Khan to play in the CPL.

Shadab, Salman, and Hasnain are already in Sri Lanka.
