Babe Ruth is still king – Talking About Baseball

I grew up a Babe Ruth and Beatles fan…I studied the two like my very life depended on it. Both of them are interesting stories coming from nowhere to be known around the world.

I just came across this article about Babe Ruth’s Jersey that he was wearing when he “called his shot” in the 1932 World Series was just sold. The amount of money is incredible…the jersey went for 24.12 million dollars. It’s blown by any other sports item. Babe if only you were here…it’s a good day for a dog and a beer.

Here it is at home plate where it happened…in Wrigley Field.
