Willie Mack, a star from AEW/ROH, recently shared an update on his contract status with the company via his Twitter (X) account.
This is what Willie Mack wrote, “When ya boy is about to become a homeless superhero because the booker doesn’t think he’s worth the money. #WhereTheBestWrestle” Mack then added, “It’s like for 2 years straight I’d call every week and ask if you got anything for me? You signed right? You still getting paid right? I want to Wrestle.”
According to Fightful Select, when Mack first joined AEW, he was signed to a “tier zero” contract, which is essentially a paid-per-appearance contract. The report also noted that Mack was subsequently moved to a “full-time contract” within the last two years, which provided him with a salaried position. However, Mack has recently been reverted back to a tier zero deal, and the reasons for this change are unclear. As a result, he is now being compensated on a per-appearance basis once again.
The report indicates that AEW sources have been in contact with Mack, although the context of these communications remains uncertain.
Mack has not wrestled in AEW or ROH since the December 11, 2025, episode of ROH on HonorClub, where he and Aaron Solo lost a tag team match to Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia. He has been appearing regularly for Juggalo Championship Wrestling (JCW), most recently competing at JCW Juggalo Weekend on February 27 in a six-man tag team match. Prior to that, he hadn’t wrestled on AEW programming for over a year, with his last match being a loss to Wheeler Yuta in March during an episode of Collision.
While Mack hasn’t participated in any AEW or ROH matches this year, he is still permitted to compete on the independent scene. Known for his previous work in Lucha Underground, TNA, NWA, and MLW, Mack made his debut for AEW/ROH in February 2023. He has only had 10 matches on AEW TV but has generally been more active on ROH TV, where he wrestled six times last year.
