As previously reported, tickets for WWE WrestleMania 42 are selling more slowly this year, prompting the company to explore various promotions and strategies to boost sales. According to Dave Meltzer in a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, as of February 13th, Night One of WrestleMania 42 has sold 36,964 tickets, while Night Two has sold 36,737 tickets.
Despite a price cut for all seats during the Valentine’s Day weekend, the demand for WrestleMania 42 tickets has declined compared to the previous weekend, with minimal movement observed at the lowest price points. Meltzer updated the numbers, stating that Night One has currently sold 35,690 tickets, while Night Two has sold 36,372 tickets. The company is reportedly down by 17,252 ticket sales, and the current sales are 19.3% behind the pace set last year.
Meltzer noted that WrestleMania 42 is still on track to achieve one of the highest revenue gates in combat sports history due to the high ticket prices. The starting price for Night One and Night Two is $264 and $276, respectively. A WWE source remarked that the slow ticket sales for this year’s event are more related to the high prices than the quality of the product itself.
Recent information from Pollstar indicates that WWE sold 113,412 tickets for $66,074,558 over two nights at WrestleMania 41, breaking all previous records for pro wrestling and MMA events. Meltzer pointed out that the promotion had moved out 15,000 tickets for each night from this point last year. He also commented on the steep increase in average ticket prices over the past few years. While the average price for a WrestleMania ticket in 2023 was $169, it rose to $341 in 2024 and $582.61 in 2025. The expected price for this year’s event is considerably higher, suggesting that WWE could still generate a larger gate this April, even if the event is not completely sold out.
WrestleMania 42 will take place on Saturday, April 18th, and Sunday, April 19th, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
