Bangladesh Ready to Take on India in Chennai

For the eagerly awaited Test series against India, Bangladesh’s cricket team has begun preparations. The visitors have already completed their first practice session with great success, and the first Test match is scheduled to take place in Chennai.

Team Bangladesh Starts Their Practice For 1st Test

In preparation for the first Test match against India, Team Bangladesh held their first practice at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Monday. After defeating Pakistan 2-0 to win their first Test series on Pakistani territory, Bangladesh is currently playing at their best. In the first Test, the squad won handily by ten wickets, and in the second, they won by six wickets.

Bangladesh’s victory over Pakistan demonstrated their tenacity and resilience, but they will face stiff challenges in India. Bangladesh has lost 11 of their previous 13 Test matches against India, with two ending in draws. After their arrival on Sunday, the Bangladeshi team got right to work. During the practice session, their batsmen showed an aggressive attitude against throwdown specialists and net bowlers.

Litton Das, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Zakir Hasan, and Shadman Islam concentrated on honing their footwork and making accurate straight drives. Mushfiqur Rahim, who scored an incredible 191 runs in the first Test match against Pakistan at Rawalpindi, also took part in the net session.

The spinners Taijul Islam and Nayeem Hasan, who are anticipated to be key players in the two-Test series, were also observed practicing. A vital component of Bangladesh’s spin attack, Shakib Al Hasan is scheduled to rejoin the squad on Tuesday. He spent a brief time with Surrey in the County Championship last week, taking nine wickets and helping his club win by 111 runs.

The main square was the major training area for the Bangladeshi pacers, but Rana, a 21-year-old, was the talk of the town following his brilliant performance in two Test matches in Pakistan, when he grabbed six wickets. Rana created extra bounce with his high-arm movement, surprising opposing batters. India has summoned up Gurnoor Brar, a pacer from Punjab, in anticipation of Rana’s challenge since fast bowlers may find bounce in the red dirt at Chepauk.

Prior to leaving for India, the Bangladeshi players took part in a training camp in Dhaka after winning a series in Pakistan, which moved them up to fourth in the WTC standings. They had just returned from a short break at home.
