Bangladesh Seal 2–1 Series Win with Complete Team Effort Against Pakistan

Bangladesh showcased a strong all-round performance in the third and final ODI, helping the hosts seal a 2–1 series win against Pakistan in Mirpur. The hosts defeated Pakistan by 11 runs in the series decider on March 15.

Batting first, Bangladesh posted a strong total of 290/5 in their 50 overs. The hosts got off to a solid start, with Tanzid Hasan Tamim scoring 107 runs, including six boundaries and seven maximums. Tanzid and Saif Hassan (36) put together a 105-run opening partnership. Meanwhile, Litton Das (41), Towhid Hridoy (48*), and Najmul Hossain Shanto (27) added crucial runs, pushing the total close to the 300-run mark.

Pakistan’s bowlers tried hard to control the run flow but struggled to stop Bangladesh from scoring. Haris Rauf was the most successful bowler, picking up three crucial wickets and creating pressure on the middle order. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Abrar Ahmed also managed to take one wicket each, but the rest of the team could not make much of an impact.

While chasing, Pakistan fought hard as Salman Ali Agha played a stunning innings and scored a century, which kept the visitors in the chase. The right-handed batter was eventually dismissed for 106 off 98 balls. Afridi (37), Saad Masood (38), and Abdul Samad (34) also made crucial contributions, but their side fell short by 11 runs.

Bangladesh’s pace attack played a crucial role in their win. Taskin Ahmed led the bowling attack with four wickets, while Mustafizur Rahman also impressed with three wickets. Nahid Rana picked up two wickets for the team. Spinner Rishad Hossain also chipped in with a wicket, helping Bangladesh seal the series.
