IND vs BAN Test Series 2024: Big update in the context of IND vs BAN Test series 2024 as the BCB have announced the Bangladesh Squad for the test series. Najmul Santo is set to lead the Bangla team against India amid the controversies surrounding the series.
After clinching the historic Test series in Pakistan, Bangladesh would be confident enough to offer some challenges to the Indian team in India. The Bangladesh Cricket Board have announced the Bangladesh squad against India which is almost similar to the one, that traveled to Pakistan.
Shoriful Islam, the 23 year-old pacer, has missed out on the Bangladesh squad. He suffered through a groin injury in the Rawalpindi test against Pakistan, which they won by 10 wickets.
His unavailability proved to be Jaker’s opportunity! Jaker Ali, the right-handed Wicketkeeper batter got his first call for the red ball game. The 26-year-old, Ali has an average of 44 in the 81 innings he has batted on.

The first Test is scheduled to take place in Chennai, starting on September 19, followed by the second match in Kanpur on September 27. This series marks the beginning of India’s home season, with the hosts fielding a strong squad, spearheaded by senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
Bangladesh have yet to secure a Test victory against India. In their previous encounter during the 2019-20 season, India dominated with a 2-0 series win. The upcoming Test series will be followed by three T20 Internationals, scheduled to take place in Gwalior, Delhi, and Hyderabad, respectively.
