Basit Ali slams Pakistan cricket after India won against Bangladesh

India’s 7-wicket win over Bangladesh in the final match of the two-Test series not only secured a whitewash of 2-0, but also solidified their position for a spot in the finals of the World Test Championship (WTC). This victory marks the third consecutive time India has reached the final of the WTC.

Former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali cleanly accepts the significant difference in the caliber of cricket between India and Pakistan. In a video on his YouTube channel, Ali expressed how he believed Pakistan’s current cricketing standards to be far below those of India. He said that anyone who thinks Pakistan’s cricket is at a high level is mistaken.

Fark aap dekh le India aur Pakistan ka fark. Yeh haqeeqat hai, isko maane. Agar aap issi soch me rahenge ki humari cricket bahut achchi hai, toh bekaar hai (Please note the difference between India and Pakistan. This is the truth, accept it. If you keep thinking that our cricket is very good, then it’s a waste),” Ali said.

Ali emphasizes Australia to be India’s true competition in Test cricket. Notable, India and Australia are set to face each other in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting from November 22.
Ali also spoke about India’s spectacular winning streak of 18-matches at home grounds.

India ka muqabla bas Australia se hi hai, baaki aise hi hai. Mere khayal se 19th or 20th series jeeti hai (India’s only competition is Australia. I think they have won 19 or 20 series at home),” former Pakistani cricketer concluded.
